Matthew Love, Psy.D works with adolescents, college students, and adults who are navigating life’s many challenges.  He is a licensed clinical psychologist in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts having earned his doctorate at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles.  Dr. Love’s experiences as a successful athlete, rowing coach and writer about sports performance issues, makes his consultation services for sports teams and individual athletes in high demand. Noted as a very positive, supportive, and pragmatic therapist, his approach is to assist each person identify behaviors, attitudes, and patterns that once seemed to protect them and yet now, no longer serves a constructive purpose. He strongly believes that past patterns often get in the way of having a productive, happy and fulfilling lives and that the purpose of therapy is to create new ways of living, feeling and relating. People typically call Dr. Love when they are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties. He works as a “partner” to quickly  address immediate pain and create tools that provide relief and positive, enriching relationships. Dr. Love’s has a broad practice that includes individual and couples; comprehensive psychological and educational assessments; sports performance enhancement; and helping college students thrive.
