Amy approaches therapy with an open mind and heart, utilizing a strong empathic energy to connect and align with each client’s individual needs and goals. She emphasizes the importance of exploring the inner self to pursue effective, sustainable change in one’s life journey.

While guiding many on their mental healing journeys, Amy has seen many clients alleviate and understand their emotional experience and thus improve their overall sense of self, their interpersonal relationships and overall sense of well-being. Amy is present and solution focused, often helping her clients identify and embrace their own inner strength and ability to change their life. She offers individual supportive psychotherapy for those who are suffering with depression, anxiety, life transition stress, grief and loss, post-partum, marital conflict, substance use, co-occurring and mood disorders.

Amy holds a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in New York City and has a specialization in treating substance use and co-occurring disorders.  Her work utilizes an eclectic and holistic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment plans to an individual’s specific needs. She has training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Seeking Safety (trauma and substance use) and Motivational Interviewing. Amy practices mindfulness and uses it with clients to help evoke a sense of calm, focus and serenity during the therapeutic recovery process.  

At the Life Solution Center of Darien, Amy provides individual therapy to adults and adolescents (14+).

Amy has gained experience in a multitude of treatment environments serving a variety of clientele. She worked for many years at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT, holding many positions there including Senior Residential Counselor and Clinical Outreach Director. She was a counselor to clients on parole at Liberation Programs in Stamford, CT, also treating clients on medication assisted therapy for substance dependence. Before establishing her private practice, Amy worked as an Outpatient Therapist at Optimus Healthcare in Stamford, treating a diverse population of clients with a multitude of mental health conditions and needs. Since 2015, Amy has maintained a successful private psychotherapy practice in Darien, Connecticut and more recently in Plant City, FL.
