Victoria “Tory” Thomas is a certified divorce financial analyst. Prior to becoming a divorce financial analyst, Tory worked on Wall Street for 20 years. Over the course of her career on Wall Street, she provided analytical and quantitative support to the mortgage finance, municipal finance and equity derivatives departments of Morgan Stanley and, later, became a Director in the Equity Derivatives department of Deutsche Bank. Tory earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University (1982) and after leaving Wall Street obtained a Master’s of Science Degree in Mathematics from Fairfield University (2013). Upon completion of her Master’s degree, she was one of two students chosen by the faculty of the mathematics department of Fairfield University to be inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon, the U.S. honorary national mathematics society. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Mathematics, Tory also worked toward her certification as a divorce financial analyst which she obtained in 2011.

In her role as a divorce financial analyst Tory has worked as an independent consultant and also as a member of Wofsey, Rosen, Kweskin & Kuriansky, LLP supporting their family law attorneys. Tory always works closely with her client and their attorneys so the client feels supported by a team.

Having been through a divorce herself, Tory understands firsthand the importance of having a complete and clear understanding of the financial facts of a divorce case. In her role as a certified divorce financial analyst Tory works with her client and their attorney(s) to develop an accurate financial picture of the case. In addition, Tory assists the client and their attorney(s) understand the financial nuances
and ramifications of any contemplated settlement agreement.
